Friday Finds!

Had a FABULOUS week vintage shopping wise.
CRAZY FABULOUS.
This is just a small sample of some of the goodies I found all at great bargain prices:
Stamp holder, my mind is still whirring with ideas about how I might use it - make up brush holder?

A vintage compact that looks like a gift box! It will hold business cards one day if I can bear to take it off my night stand (also a find - but saving it for pink Saturday)

Circa 1950s napkin holder becomes a tres modern Kindle holder
Wall pocket that was easy on my pocket book!
Mod pattern scarf  that I'll use as, um, a scarf! Somethings are just meant to be.
Happy Friday!

  3. Thanks y'all. I did have fun, so much I had to sit home today because I ran out of money! Oh well, tomorrow is pay day and somewhere there is a bargain with my name on it.

  8. Love the thought of using the stamp holder for postcards. Dana - would like to say it was my brilliant idea all along but I thought it would be for TV remotes, but they are too fat.

  11. Donnie, I finally got used to seeing things from my childhood sold in antique stores but now they are selling things from when my KIDS were little!!

Diann - thanks for having TTF, I find such great blogs that way!

  12. I used to see things in antique stores and hear my mother say, "We had one of those." I vowed I wouldn't get rid of any "good stuff" but the problem is knowing what is going to age gracefully and be worth something, and what is just going to take up space until your kids get rid of it at a garage sale someday. And you're right -- I see Fischer Price toys all the time now that are vintage finds, and used to sit in my kids' closets. Maybe those Hoarders have it right....hang on to everything!

  13. I tell my kids all the time "Estate Sale, not Yard Sale" (on the premise that they can charge more) and they retort with "Hoarders, not Antiques Road Show" to remind me of who they plan to call to rat me out to.
