Pink is Cool!

What a week! Have a wonderful visit to Yesteryear - a local antique shop in an old funeral home - almost set to serve but going to have to put it on ice until Sunday!

Why oh why do fridges of yesterday seem so much more PRACTICAL and PRETTY than the one's we have today?
Helen's advice until then - chill out! Helen will be at your door again before you know it.

Ding Dong - Don't let the innocent get up fool you. Helen is only pretending to ring the bell in case anyone is looking. I know you keep the key to your house in your fake-o flower pot. Make myself at home? I believe I will. Clothing optional, right?

Ahhhhhh - I didn't buy this WHY? I may have to go back and hope it's still there.

Happy Pink Saturday!

    1. No kidding. Defrosting was the pits but as a kid I remember scraping ice off and eating it on a hot day even though Mom told us not to.

    1. LOL - you don't have to move your house, you just have to move the flower pot!

  7. I have a friend who bought a mid-century house 10 or 12 years ago. When they moved in, everything in the house was pink: walls, tile, carpet, countertops, cabinets, drapes. I'm talking all pink, all the time...in every room. It didn't take long for her to get pinked out...but then she wasn't as die-hard a mid-century fan as some of us. :)

    Love the pink refrigerators!

    1. MY aunt and uncle had a pink bathroom and people thought they should 'update it' but I LOVED it. Don't know that I could take pink everything. It might be like living in a glass of strawberry milk.

  8. I lounge around my home exactly like that statuette all the time, drinking pink Pepto Bismol from martini glasses and nibbling gherkins.

  9. Hello Helen:
We eagerly anticipate the next post in which, we hope, all the 'finds' of 'Yesteryear' are to be revealed. Until then, we shall simply pour ourselves another pink gin, and patiently wait!
