Proof Positive...

Dear Loved Ones, I give you proof positive that Helen is no poser!

Super model? I thought you asked me to be a SUPPER model!

But I had to show off my gorgeous vintage coat.

Stewarts was a Department Store started here in Louisville, Ky

Which is the same place my awesome coffee table (gift from Hubby Hartman for Valentine's Day 2 yrs ago) came from.

I know I've shown this before but if you owned it, you'd carry a pic on your phone to show strangers, so don't get all high and mighty with Helen!

Crazy day today and will be having oral surgery on Tuesday so decided to pick up a little kick up for my spirits.

Yes, I did. Red Cowboy boots. They are awesome.

It worked because, Loved Ones, a weird twist in my plans today brought great treasures. Can't wait to share!

Have a Great Weekend!

  1. I love your jacket...and those gloves! I remember when nobody got dressed up without wearing gloves. I kinda miss those days.

    1. Thank you so much. It's more of an emotional issue for me than a pain one. Difficult to admit I'm literally getting Long in the Tooth!

    1. I am so impressed with how well it is made - they made things to last back then. Wish my teeth had the same kind of workmanship!

  8. Wow what a coat, it's rather lovely and looks cozy as well.
I will have to admit that I am IN LOVE with your boots. All the hardware is quite awesome and flashy.
I hope you heal fast from your surgery, and are back to your spunky self in no time.

    1. Thank you much! I was tempted to see if I could glue rhinestones to the brass - but the brass has started to grow on me.

  11. I loved going shopping with my mother at Stewart's here in Lexington when I was a child. I always felt so grown up. We always had to wear dresses and white gloves :)

    1. Sigh, I remember when we used to dress up to go shopping. Or to the airport. Or even the library. I remember my mom held the NO SHORTS IN THE LIBRARY rule long after the actual rules changed.

  13. You are looking highly fantastic here! Those are stomp-worthy boots indeed. And the vintage coat is spectacular. All good men know that the way to a woman's heart is through her favourite vintage shop.

    1. It's true. Once Hubby found some things he liked thrifting he is much easier to coax our shopping.
