SNOW DAY!

Oh the weather outside is...

5 in of snow and wind chill below zero! It's def for the birds!

But the fire is so...

It's too cozy in our house to take down the Christmas tree so we put vintage valentines and pink monkeys and a vintage wedding cake topper and pink sparkly tinsel rope (which I just happened to have around) and had a Valentine's Tree!

And since we've no place to go...

Really, it has to be a day when the cat won't run outside for me to get sock monkey a hat on her! Total hat rejection in 5...4...3...2...

Because modern technology makes it so I can do my job from home, I'm staying in! Stay warm and safe, y'all.

  2. I'm with you! I still have my "winter" tree up, which is mostly birds and snowflakes. It IS too pretty to take down. I love how it pops against your pretty turquoise. It's a happy spot. And the cardinal is gorgeous, the cat cozy. We started out today at 1 below and they said it would get worse later this week. Swell. So glad to be cozy -- hope you are, too!

  4. Winter is not my thing. The red bird looks so pretty with the snow as a background.

    1. Thanks A few years ago when there were wildfires in AZ we had a desert cardinal come to visit for a week or so. He was a bit different.

  6. I would rather be in the desert and warm, than have cardinals. Just sayin'. I've tried both, so I really, really mean it. AND just how much will your cat tolerate?

    1. She can tolerate anything, including 3 dogs who try to lick her but NOT the other cat.

    1. Your trees were part of what inspired me. Hubby just doesn't want the tree down. Thought he was sentimental but yesterday he told me, he c an see the TV better when the tree blocks the light from the big window! Romantic!
