Helen's Back!

Helen's BACK! (And she learned how to tie a Rosie the Riveter scarf)

Starting in July I will be going part time at my current job, allowing me time to blog again and hoping to start an ETSY shop (will announce it here when Hel's Kitchin' is up and selling).

Just did my first ever Vintage Fair and am hooked!

It all started when I read this quote on Facebook:

And feeling trapped and unappreciated in a job that demanded most of my time and almost all my joy was not getting me anywhere.

So after a short vacation and time to set things up I hope to be selling vintage, writing new books and, of course, ruling the world.

Um, I mean, enjoying life and blogging about it again.

No idea if anyone will see this but just writing it out has been wonderful so if you see it, thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!

  3. I know exactly how you feel. I am conflicted about going into junk full time. My Etsy shop has been doing well lately but it's kind of scary to take that leap. Glad you are back to blogging!

    1. I kinda did. A lot because I solved all the problems in the world and just moved on to making snarky comments :). Actually I had to move from working from home to going to an office and fb was less time.

  9. Darling Helen,

    Yippee! It is so wonderful to see you back in the Blogosphere.

    We have missed your posts and the wit and banter that goes with them. You are a unique voice in the Blogosphere and that is very precious indeed. You always combine such great images with the carefully chosen words and we love you for it. Your boss' slows is definitely our gain.

    How very brave of you to have changed your job and branched out into something new. It is always easier to just carry on even if one does not particularly enjoy what one us doing. So, well done for taking courage by the hand and moving onwards and upwards. We hope that you will find joy and happiness in your new work. It all sounds so much more up your street to us. May the cash registers keep ringing!

    1. "Like sweet bells jangled, out of tune and harsh;
      That unmatch'd form and feature of blown youth
      Blasted with ecstasy. O, woe is me" But hey no MORE, those bells are cash registers, Jane and Lance said so! Thanks so much
